Abstract
The dnrN gene of Streptomyces peucetius subsp. caecius ATCC 27952 encoding a response regulatory protein of two-component regulatory system was cloned. The complete nucleotide sequence indicated that there is an open reading frame enconding 202
amino
acid polypeptide. There were homologous sequences to the consensus sequence of a ribosome binding site and to those of known response regulatory proteins, such as UhpA, UvrC, DegU, NarL and AmfR. Having the great6 similarity of dnrN gene from
both
of S.
peucetius ATCC 29050 and S. peucetius subsp. caesius ATTCC 27952, the production of doxorubicin might be not affected by the regulation of dnrN gene. It implies that the production of doxorubicin might be regulated by the activiation of
14-hydrexylase
gene from S. peucetius subsp. caesius ATCC 27952.
